I’ve grown to fall in love with Arrested Development over the past month or two, as everyone knows. And I’ve started to have such a huge crush on Jason Bateman, that it’s become an unhealthy obsession at times. I’ve spent hours at a time on Youtube looking at interviews and such things of him, and I’ve started to feel a little sorry for him. Now, there’s no doubting that Arrested Development shot his career up, and even he says that in quite a number of interviews. But with my unhealthy obsession with looking at most of his interviews, nine times out of ten, he’s asked about rumours of an AD movie, and although he doesn’t show it, it must wear him out sometimes. It’s such a great show to be proud of, and to have so many more fans now that are excited about the new episodes and movie, so it’s great that people are so interested in what he has to say about it. But even two or three years ago, he was getting questions, and he didn’t have a lot to give to interviewers, many of his interviews about AD (whilst promoting another film) he was giving out the same information. He could’ve just avoided the question or been rude, but you can just tell he wouldn’t be like that, and he never was. I get that interviewers want new information and the ‘first scoop’ but when the film is ‘half-way’ written, he (Mitchell) is obviously not going to spill anything about it until it’s at least done, and even then it will stay very closed until it’s discussed more. I just feel kind of sorry for Jason because I’m sure he expected it in every interview he went into, but it must of been tiring sometimes, saying the same thing over again. And obviously, I’ve noticed it with other cast stars such as Michael Cera and Will Arnett for example, but Jason Bateman seems to get the most questions about it from what I’ve seen.
